Blokus is a strategy game played with tetris-shaped plastic pieces on a grid. Players try to places all of their pieces on the board while attempting to block their opponents from doing the same. The catch is that players must lay down their pieces such that their own colored pieces touch by only their corners. This means that the players can quickly run out of space and into each other very quickly.
This abstract strategy game is best played with 4 players. In the case that you don’t have 4 players available, the players take turns moving for the missing players. There is also a solitaire variant where you attempt to place all the pieces on the board before running out of space. This game is great for a “filler” type game. Players of abstract strategy games like chess or checkers might enjoy this fast paced strategy game.
